tv series to binge watch in january

2024 kicks off with a january full of fantastic television premieres. it will be hard to stop marathoning series and do anything but sit on the couch. we leave you with a number of suggestions for highly anticipated series.

native american superhero maya lopez (alaqua cox) faces off against her adoptive uncle, the terrifying wilson fisk (vincent d'onofrio), in this spin-off from 2021's hawkeye. in echo, maya is forced to flee new york city to escape the attentions of fisk. she returns to her hometown in oklahoma, where she tries to reconnect with her family and come to terms with her traumatic past.

MASTERS OF THE AIR

based on donald l. miller's acclaimed novel and produced by steven spielberg and tom hanks, masters of the air will tell the incredible true story of the american eight air force. in particular, the series will tell the heroic story of the brave young pilots who put their lives on the line to take the fight to the german army in the sky.

EXPATS

based on the 2016 novel the expatriates by janice y.k. lee, the series is directed by lulu wang and follows the overlapping lives of us citizens in hong kong. nicole kidman is the producer and stars as margaret, the mother of the young children. mercy (ji-young yoo) is a single korean-american whose life becomes intertwined with margaret's through a tragedy fraught with grief and guilt.

This 10-episode crime drama stars violett beane, mandy patinkin, lauren patten, rahul kohli, angela zhou, hugo diego garcia, pardis saremi and linda emond.

this miniseries tells the story of griselda blanco, known as la jefa (the boss), the head of a miami drug cartel in the 1970s and 80s. starring and produced by sofia vergara, the show follows griselda's rise and fall as the so-called godmother of cocaine as she leaves medellin for miami with her three young sons.

peter capaldi is london's detective chief inspector daniel hegarty and cush jumbo is the idealistic detective sergeant june lenker in this gripping, fast-paced thriller. when lenker receives an anonymous tip that one of hegarty's old cases resulted in a wrongful conviction and imprisonment, she investigates, and hegarty's resistance reveals he has much to hide.
